My Posts This: Topic  Forum		in the stable setup you fix mixing arm in the middle hole or the one closest to the blade grip? I followed the supplement setup that suggest to fix the mixing arm cloest to the blade grip today I will try in the middle hole. Will you able to notice the 2 diffrent setup? and which one is beter in your opinion?

I tried all sorts of different settings on the mixing arms and blade grips and have found the best to be exactly what it says to use in the manual

The biggest difference you will notice is trying different blades

I had a setup last year that I was fairly happy with, and then I tried a different set of blades. WOW. It just sat beautifully and was a bit slower in the aero's but tons of power available

I'm currently playing with shorter flybar's, with good success

I'm an F3C wanabee, by the way

what blade you are currently using? what is MCX is it a brand and what is the length? I am using SG 720 F3C i am very happy with it. I thought using longer flybar will give more stability in hover and flight? what length you are using?

I was using some RT720's, not the SG versions, but am just trying some RT700's with similar weighting to the SG720's

Blade MCX is a small contra rotating indoor heli made by Eflite

As the Avro is designed to be used for F3C or 3D flying, the flybar as supplied is a compromise to suit both styles. I have found that by using a shorter flybar there is little difference in trim change during the hovering manouvers, nose into wind and tail into wind

My current flybar is 40mm shorter than standard and I am not using any flybar weights, with Funtech F3C paddles

Plenty of response still during the aerobatics and much more settled in the hover

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		It's the stock Avro flybar and I measured it, cut the extra thread and then cut it shorter

I took 10mm off each end to start with and tried that, then took another 10mm off each end after cutting the thread

Works for me

The thing with F3C is to try as many different setups, paddles, weights and blades as you can. I'll quite happily swap flybars at the field to try, or change the paddles. Doesn't take long and you learn a lot from it along the way

Other pilots have tried my heli and don't like the feel of it, but as I said, it works for me.
