I was flying my trex 450 heli and was doing fine. I have completed normal 3D like rolls flips and inverted hover and high speed banked turns. I then was doing piro's and when i stopped my tail servo locked up and my tail went crazy. Of course.... it crashed head on into the ground going about 30mph on an incline straight down with the tail spinning. I ended up bending my aluminum frame and the battery mount was aluminum too and it was crushed like a soda can from the impact. My whole head is ruined, need a new frame, new battery, new tailboom, new tail servo, new esc, new main blades, new landing gear. I am upgrading my tail servo to a 3400g which i have but dummy me left in the smaller one because I had a scale body on it the week before. If anybody wants pics I can put them on.

sorry for your loss. Sounds like you need a whole new kit. If you got pics post 'em

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

^^+1^^

When I first read the subject line I was afraid I was going to read about hitting a child with your heli.

Sorry for your wreck, but that's the risk whenever we fly.

Impacting the earth one heli at a time

My first thought was either a fly away or lost in the water...
Coming home with ONLY your transmitter is my idea of "the worst crash"

WELL besides having your heli go through a windshield of a moving vehicle hit the driver, him crash and cause a multi-car pileup...

Thats why we have throttle hold. At the very least it will minimise damage, if used

My worst ever was when in governor mode - it hit the ground and something disconnected as TH didn't work... sat there and ate itself "blade 400 chicken dance" on YT. I originally thought I had to take it out of idle up or something but it was just the impact.
