A few of you have got to be doing these!

Are you going to a low throttle just to keep the motor spinning-over so it spools-up again quickly?

Not brave enough to try it yet!

Even with 6sec startup its way to slow, really.

I practice new stuff with low throttle (still can hover, just barely), then when I flip the switch im committed... its the only way, because when you 1. realize this is going bad, then 2. have switched out, its too late, it had been better to make the best of it from start and concentrate on the "bad landning" to make it as good as possible.

There was a post on here where some were setting thier JAZZ to a low throttle, so the motor is spinning but not driving, so they can auto, then it will spool-up sharply again on request? I was wondering if you can do the same with the Jive?

Who's brave then?

Never heard of this half auto power mode or whatever it is with jazz or jive, you are either in governor mode or not. Like Fredrik said you commit, there really is no bailout, anything less then 20 feet you better do it as the quickest spoolup is VERY likley to still not be quick enough.....

Here's a post I read about a few months back about setting throttle hold at about 30% while practicing autos?
