Hey guys, just hoping to figure out what caused my radio system to lock out. I am a very maticulas builder and all wiring was protected in good condition etc. Heard a weird noise (possible gear mesh problem) a minute before total PCM lockout. Can a mechanical plastic gear mesh being damaged cause some sort of frequency disturbance?? Sounded like maybe the crown gear may have striped right before the radio system locked out. Had no control over pitch, elevator, ailerons or tail before crashing my brand f#@$%ken new synergy. All batteries fully charged, no loose connections, etc.
Can't find anything wrong with the electronics on the bench. Possible somebody at the field on my channel.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Was there any pieces of the head broken off after the crash? Did throttle hold not respond? I always use a hot glue gun to secure all plug connections and clean the surfaces well with alcohol before gluing. Sorry to hear about the crash. Take it easy...

It can be some loosen\exposed CF.
But since the Senergy's frame is made of G-ten i can't
say it.....maybe the G-ten has the same affect on PCM radio
as the CF has.

Try check for an exposed pieces on the frame.

Sorry for your lost....

The thing is most machines now may have some RF issues. Don't know as none are tested with a 72 mhz system anymore. I have a Synergy and it has have been flown with anything but Spektrum.

Just go 2.4 and it won't matter anymore. It is better in every way anyway.

Maybe a main mast bearing caused the mesh to go out and also created enough RF noise to crash your heli? Have you checked out the bearings yet?
