My Posts This: Topic Forum | The 4G3 is a touchy flier. It is a fun heli tho. Just not for the beginner IMHO. It is also touchy in setup. It is tricky to get it flying really well. The stock brushed motors have plenty of power when they are fresh so if you are having a power issue it could definitely be old motors. The main motors don't last very long so it is worth the BL upgrade. If you have the V1 you will want to get the new RX as it is a "plug and play" BL conversion. Also look out for bad bearings on this heli. I have ordered bearing kits and found a few bad bearings that were new. I had two tail bearings that were locked up and a swash bearing that was gritty and I ordered a metal upgrade for my 4#3 and the swash that came with it had a gritty bearing. BTW my 4#3 is my favorite heli, it is all upgraded and flies wonderful, smooth as silk and is very durable. It is the best trainer out there since it is so durable and cheap to fix and you can fly it indoors any time, no need to wait for a good weather day. The 4G3 is not a great indoor around the house heli, it is more of a gymnasium or calm wind outside heli IMHO. You really need more space than the average living room provides, it is a powerful and fast little heli. If yours is lacking in speed or power than you may have a problem or your setup is not like mine. You can flip it in the living room although I would not attempt this as I am not that confident in my skills but mine definitely has the power to do so.
