How does the it fly with the orbit motor ?

~Roei~

If you build it lightweight, take off weight under 4kg, it is well powered with the Orbit 30/12 HE.

I have to search for other batteries because of not happy with the Outrage 3700 25C, very short living time if you use them as labeled.
If you use them softer with 20C rate they living longer.

Take a look at the new Hyperion G3s if you can find any in stock they don't last long on the dealer's shelves.

Wow looks good

Christian,

Looks great! I'm surprised by how low the amp draw was for the Scorpion motor. I wonder how it compares to some of other other motors people are running in this application?

I'm hoping to put one of these together when finances allow.

I'd love to see one of these with a Gyrobot 700 or 900.

I also like the idea of dropping the head speed, still fantastic performance and just as good flight times, if not better than nitro.

The technology is catching up to all the PROS of having a nitro.

I should have a Gyroboto 700 here pretty soon to test on my Kit.
I also would like to get a hold of a AC-3X as well to play with.

So far I have tested the Xera and Scorpion on mine. Starting next week I will be testing both the Neu and the Pyro on this kit, should be fun

David,

make sure you keep an eye out for the Piro Optimization firmware update for your Gyrobot!

see Jag72's post in the Flybarless section for more info if you're not up on the subject.

Christian, you have a cable that looks like it has come unplugged from the receiver. Looks like a sweet setup though!

Well it looks like the AC-X3 will not be tested after all. They will not sell to the USA is what I got told from Stefan.

I do see the Piro Optimization firmware update has just been release for the Gyroboto, I hope I get mine soon.

How about an update!

I have replaced the Power Jazz with the new Jive 80 HV esc which has a 15amp built in BEC if you use both the master and slave cable from the ESC. Pretty cool so now you don't need a RX battery.

I also have been flying the Kontronic Pyro and really like how the motor runs with the new Thunder Power Power Pro 40c packs. Works very well.

I can't wait for some one to get the Xera 4030 3y in stock to try as well!

I will be at IRCHA this week if anyone wants to see this conversion in person. Should be at the Thunder Power booth
