My Posts This: Topic Forum | Frenzy 50 is worth purchasingHere is a more balanced and knowledge based feedback to the many uninformed comments in this posting.
As an owner of a JR Voyager 50 & Vibe 90, they are great machines. However, so is the JS TZ Frenzy 50. The Frenzy is as nible if not moreso than most 50 class machines out there. I agree that some of the parts are similar to other machines, but a direct knockoff statement is incorrect. Heck, there is only so far the present designs can go. As for the durability of this machine, I have 100+ flights without a single component issue on the Frenzy 50's and challenge the comments about Chinese quality. (FYI - I own two Frenzy 50's) Why? With some of my company's products being produced in China and my personal engineering knowledge of product and component quality from China, material quality depends upon the China source and province the material comes from. In the case of the Frenzy, they are produced by a quality focused company using good material sources.
The only real difference I have seen between JR and JS is the cost. This cost difference is primarily due to the labor costs that are much less. This includes engineering labor as well.
So the bottom line is that if you don't mind paying the higher price for JR you won't be disappointed in the product. But don't be discouraged from the Frenzy 50, it is a great machine at a VERY enticing price. The only item to consider outside of the price and performance is that JR has been around for a very long time and will likely outlive the present economic situation. JS has been around for over 5 years, but does not have the history of JR. Just remember, at less than 50% of the JR prices, cross compatibility of JS parts with Hirobo, Thunder Tiger, JR, etc... who cares if JR goes under. The Frenzy machine will have support until you eventually total it anyway. |
