from Align point of view (business point of view)...they have made it to fail, otherwise they cannot make money on parts

it is obvious, with a single bearing on any engine wont last long.
thats why its failing even on nitro engines.

there is no way you can reduce vibrations/runouts with a single mount...thats mathematics ...

true....this specific gear is made by an 80 year old machinest....he is an expert !

btw: i never said that this gear is made by me...although, now i can machine it easily after seeing him making it for me

i am not a machinest if its not CNC...but, you give me a CNC machine and i can machine anything...

Oops, just dismantled the G-Force bearing block and the two pinion bearings fell out in bits that won’t have helped I guess

At last its flying again

I managed a couple of flights tonight and the Mod 1 pinion and main gear certainly did the trick but the flying was then cut short after two flights when the bloody carb started to run dry again, I’ve had this problem with this new engine before and I fit a heat shield between the carb and the insulator block, that seemed to work for a short time but its doing the same thing again now and after checking the filter and finding it clean plus no leeks around the gaskets I’ve pulled it off and changed it tonight. One more problem was a dry bearing squeaking so I just need to pinpoint the one that’s making the noise and change it.( all new )
I did manage to clock the head speed and that was 1830 and that’s with the new ratio of 5.75, that would put the RPM at 10,523 and I'm thinking that might be a little low and probably more suited to a 26 but the engine sounded happy enough so we will see how it goes.

All in all even with the set backs tonight I'm very pleased with it now, at last

I'm a little further with the 700G and I've now fit the Jewel generator as you can see in the picture, I've had a few problems with the carb gaskets since my last post but thats nearly sorted out now, see what’s been going on with it on this thread.

Well it’s been a long time coming but I have some video of the 700G thanks to the pilot Richard1.

It still needs some work as you will see from the Video it was bogging on simply 3D but it was still nice to see it in the air after all the work I’ve done on it.
