Well i was finally able to shoot the paint. unfortunately i had a small problem during the buffing of the clear. my buffer caught the edge of the canopy and threw it across the shop. lol dinged it up pretty bad.

since i need the canopy for sunday ill have to fix her up next week. oh well. i like the colors.

for your viewing pleasures.

Wow! Absolutely awesome. I'll bet that took some time to prep all those layers. You need to be very proud of your work.

Man that is the nicest Avro canopy I've seen. Good job, I know how long and hard it was to paint.

Love the paint job

Very cool

Looks like he's running the F3C/stable setup as the blade grips are set to trailing link. 3D setup is leading link

thanks everyone. got to fly her today and im quite impressed. got a little over a gallon thru it. im not to happy with the tail yet. its hunting around no matter what the gain is or head speed.

at 1st it was a little touchy but we set the cyclic pitch to 5.5 degrees and added -30 on the expo and it was perfect for me. normal headspeed im at 1600 and idle up 1 1850. just have to spend some time on the tail. maybe the 401 isnt up to the task. someone mentioned today about trying smaller tail blades like some 95's. 105's are on there now.

IMO you don't put a 401 on a bird like that, I'd get a Spartan if I were you

You could put some flybar weights on

That'll calm it down a bit.

Radix 95's on the tail
