My Posts This: Topic Forum | The degrees of spacing, 120 or 140, has nothing to do with which way the balls are pointing, it only refers to where the pivot points of the balls are in relationship to the 360 degrees around the mainshaft and swashplate. Notice in your example diagram of the 120 degree setup that the distance between point A and the center of the mainshaft is twice that of the distance between point B and the center of the main shaft. This means that during cyclic movements the servo connected to point A has to move twice the distance of the other servos. In the 140 degree setup the distances between A and B to the center of the main shaft are equal, therefore all the servos move the same distance. This helps keep swash interactions to a minimum throughout the full range of swash movement. Hope this helps to clarify the difference! |
