UPDATEI am working on getting a full scale helicopter to come to the field pending funds, interest, approval, ect.
I have spoken with the pilot. We have two options. If there is enough interest, helicopter rides can be done. This would cost $50 for an adult, or $40 for a child. I believe if rides are to be done, the R44 would be used, but i need to double check this.
The second option is to fly in, land and shut down, answer questions for those interested ect, and take off again to return to the airport.
The cheapest helicopter to bring in would be the R22. with 20+ pilots registering, the heli flight in can be covered.
At the moment the pilot meeting is set for 10am, the R22 can come in for 11am, so i would ask to have the field cleared by then.
If anyone is interested in going for rides, then please PM me, if there is enough interest to make it worth while then i can discuss it with the pilot.
Some pics of the R22 and a video of me coming in for a landing
Rain slowed things down a bit, but did not stop it! Great flying all around, and some good talent out there. Thanks again and look forward to the next one.
Shawn, I'm bringing my vernier caliper next time to measure how low you had that NX inverted. I don't think a tape measure is accurate enough

I thought it was going to rain all day, but no, lots of good weather to fly.
The drag races wore cool, first time I've seen that live.
It's a nice drive there to the Mennonite (Amish) town, after the fun fly, two minutes away, I took a drive to St. Jacobs town to buy a fresh apple pie, it felt like I was in the 1800s
if your going to do an auto contest i need to be able to walk up to my target within 10 feet. and those drag races... well... maybe next year Shawn, thanks for posting the pix though, good event, and yes that was the first time i'd ever done an auto contest or a drag race. so what did i win?
I know what you mean about the auto's though, it is tough doing it from that distance, but you know how the old fart plankers are about being past the flight line.
i'll come over to your club in a week or two and we can have another go
