Hey Dan,

I went to check out the flyer and registration form on the club website and the Jet Rally flyer pops up

Looking forward to making it out this year. I'll probably arrive Thursday night. Is there flying before noon on Friday?

Dave,
I'll contact our webmaster and have him straighten out the links.
Yes, there is flying before noon on Friday, but you may be flying with fixed wing also. At noon I take over the field and if the wings don't rotate, it don't fly till 2PM Sunday.

If Josh gets one for last year's explosions, CJ gets one for his great Avant midair with himself CJ does have Josh beat, he can throw the transmitter farther

There we go, I have a couple old xmitters, we should have a transmitter chucking contest!!!

No way Dan! I would give it to hom if he threw the transmitter and hot the heli in the air, but he boom stuck and down it went. Joshs could of rained parts on people if he was over the runway. And also everyone heard Joshes N9 blow up.

no junk! I am praying that niether of my machines blow up this year. It only took 7 months to get in the air again. Destroyed heli, destroyed muffler, destroyed engine. It was just barely cheaper to rebuild than build new. So my vote is for NO JUNK. See ya all there.

You could of had you pick of parts from that heli. Not any of them was any good.

So, my flying skills suck. I originally thought I'd be flying but I'm thinking now I should just show up and look around. I've never been to any event before, so I figured I could just get my bearings this time. Is this sound logic?

That's what I did the first Fun Fly I attended.

I had a blast and was inspired and motivated to get as much flying in as possible so that the following year I would feel more comfortable flying at an event.

I would bring your heli(s) however, because depending on the beginner events that are run you might want to get at least a flight or two in. Most Fun Flys have quite a few beginners and you might feel like you can hang with some of the beginner pilots. Even just one hovering flight at an event should be a confidence builder.
