Hey stan, thank you for posting here. Watch out for those pins in pegasus. But yea its a beautiful piece of art but it do have some flaws. Great to see that you haven't had problems. But the sweet things about our hobbies is we get into alot of fun of tweaking. I am waiting the replacement item then set her up once again from fresh start since I sucessfull setup my helipro black hawk 500 ep on my spektrum radio. Stan will you post some pics in this thread for everyone to see and give us some more tips. I will need all that i can to have my pegasus flying how it should!! I am a bit tired right now but there is now out a xmhobbies digital gyro G401B that is working out so good for many people. http://www.cnchelicopter.com/servle...ro-G401B/Detail it is working for me so good so this one will either order another one or use this one. I will be even using cheap hyperion atlas ds20 gmd. Also xmhobbies i got my gyro for 25 dollars shipped. Great stuff .

Which Pins????

Let me know or post a picture of the pins you are having or had a problem with.... I would like to know.... also, I am traveling but will look to see if I have any pic's stored that I can post during my travels... if not I will shoot some if you let me know what you would like to see....
Glad to hear some of the lower priced materials are working for you.... on your servos be careful to use something that will center well or it will translate to a heli that will not hover properly and these do.... I am using the sport JR821's in mine and they are fine.... along with a JR 500T gyro..... Good luck.... Stan

i lost the tail, luckily i was burly hovering. On page 4 on the manual as you can see there is two pin. The bottom pin that hold the little gear(pulley) that grip the tail belt came off. There should be atleast a screw with a nut, but instead there was a pin. So be aware with that. Eventually it will fall off on flight and cause a crash. There is another pin too on that same shaft. Luckily i found the pin that goes to the pulley on the ground. I stuck it back, but pin was loose. So i added a weee bit of 5 min expoxy for a fast fix. This was on m40-08341-10N. Now the second pin M34-10141-001 hope i don't go through the same problem. But i think i should double check and add a bit of expoxy. I think i should track all these pins. It's all good anyways. Hope it doesn't stop people from buying it. I think pegasus is a cute neat machine once I set her up perfectly but i'm a dum head for this. But I have learned alot since the first day i open up the box.

Anyways yea, i tried jr sport st47bb, i baught it to use for the tail mean time. But I now got these super fast standard digital Hyperion Atlas Digital Programmable servo. I'm getting 0.07sec. And xmhobbies g401b digital gyro. Which worked so great on my Helipro Black hawk 500ep. Now I am using that gyro on pegasus, and on helipro black hawk 500 ep i'm using that black esky professional gyro. Xmhobbies g401b is a killer gyro some people doesnt' know the different between xmhobbies g401b and 401 from futaba.

Anyways doorman, take some pic and post what ever pic you want or half of you're ep conversion, and nitro heli in those cool bodies. Give us some detail since this is the pegasus topic. Also Yea I'm using old jr servos in pegasus, but work perfectly. Plan to buy more of that bb jr sport servo that i used for tail as temporary so i can use it through out except tail, it now uses nice digital servos.

First Nitro Heli........

Now that is a good question.......
YES, I think so.... I enjoy flying these heli's.... I like using the mechanics in some of my scale helis since they fly so well....
And the one that Erwin has, is totally outfitted and flown, so it is most likely dialed in already.....so, I would not be afraid to suggest it as a first nitro heli..... but keep in mind that some time with nitro engines will be a plus for you.... this uses a high revving .18 engine and once run in and set, there is plenty of power to make this machine fly quite nicely.....I enjoy the steady hover characteristics and the forward flight is smooth with no surprises.... and parts are very easy to get from PegasusHelisUSA.com
I think I am working on number 6 now!!!!! I like them a lot.....

I have a smartech pegasus 18 nitro rc heli.
Anyone using my name TonyRose is a "FRAUD". I don't know this guy who says I am working with him. He's a nut job. If you want a Pegasus 18 nitro email this person triumphrtg@aol.com I bought mine new from him(Ron) I have been flying it for months, never a problem. she starts on a dime, she idles real good, she flies great. Do not listen to some of these guys who complain about this heli, They don't have a clue about the Pegasus 18 nitro. Forget electric this heli is so much fun and the parts are low cost. Happy Flying !!

Great Deal!!!!!!

Hard to beat that price on a machine with the engine and pipe combo included!!!!!
If you want a fun little heli to just go out and burn a very small amount of fuel for a LOT of FUN.... this machine is still one of the best values on the market and parts support is excellent for them also, online.....
Check them out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stan
