The Caliber 5 is up and running again. Had to put in a piston and ring. Its also has new bearings and a new con rod so it should be good for a while. I still have to get it trimed out this week though. But now that the mechanics are finally ready after I trim it, I can fit it to the fuselage. Once thats done, it will be ready for paint. The only thing I need now is just the scale lights and the decals. Its getting closer.

Aaron, once you get it all up and running, the next step is to switch it over to electric power. I've seen some real clever and ingenious ideas over on the electric conversion thread for a Caliber 30. Would work great on the 5.

Break that 50 in carefully and get it running right before you stick it in the fuselage.

Well, its been a while since I've posted on here. Haven't done much with this project for a while. Right now, the fuselage is over at a friend's house who is helping me with it. I recently got a light controller and I'm in the process of trying to figure out the programming and what leds to purchase. The mechanics have been taked apart and cleaned, waiting for two parts, then it should be ready to be fit into the fuselage. Still have a ways to got but hope to have it done by spring time. Should have some time to really get going on it after the New Year starts.

Finally got my light controller programmed. Ordering lights soon, then getting the mechanics fitted in the fuselage probably the first of the year, then paint, leds and graphics.
