Looks good, you must have spent more time taking pics than building.

Where did you get those pretty skids, should be able to see those in the air.

Those landing skids are made by quick UK.

Here is the link for those: http://www.quickuk.eu/cat/general_p...ercarriage.html

They are just great. I have them on my Xtreme 90 and they look awesome and they are wider by 10mm. Also I believe about 6mm more in height and so avoids tail blades cutting grass.

I will appreciate if someone can post their installation of header tank and how they did the plumbing.

I think the main shaft collar should be under the upper bearing block not above as shown in the picture.

Loc - well spotted. Yes, it should be below. Remember to tighten it after all the assembly is done. Don't ask me how I know...

The best location of a header tank is no header tank at all.

hello lok and edvard R, you guys are correct, that the collar should be under the bearing block. I still have to remove the main shaft to balance the assembly and that's the reason I have not yet tightened the flybar weights yet. I still have to also apply locktight to the bottom part of the main shaft that goes in the bottom bearing. This is why for now the collar is mounted on the top. This heli is far superior than anything I have build so far. Customer service and support from blitz is excellent.

Canopy is gone to a painter and I will get it back next weekend.

Header tank arrived today and time for some plumbing work now.

Regards,
Bhushan

Looks really good. But I would get rid of your fuzzy wuzzy slippers in the picture on the floor. Next you will be wearing fuzzy buny slippers.

Upper tray

The upper tray is an additional option purchase from blitz. Its awesome and made of G10. It also comes with spectrum satellite mount (see picture-its mounted on side of gyro mount.

I will upload a scan picture of that optional tray manual tonight

Bhushan,

Do you recall the Blitz Part number's for the optional Spektrum satellite mount and tray?

Also, I just purchased an Outrage XPRX 2S2P 5000Mah lipo for my upcoming build, is this the same as you are using? How was the fit?

Great looking job so far. Keep posting updates.

Steve

The outrage XP 5000 lipo is a good fit. BUt I have a spectrum 4000 MAH battery (expensive) on my trex 600 and its a better fit because of the square size.

part no is: AV-RST-001

see a picture of this item on this site:

Radio Setup:

Transmitter
Hold Scroll Down and Select buttons while powering up
[INPUT SELECT]
Ensure Aux2 set to Aux2 (default unless you’ve previously changed it)
Ensure Gear set to Gear (also default)
Note: This assumes you are controlling gyro gain with either the Aux2 switch (endpoints on Aux2 channel) or the Gyro menus. Either one will work fine.
Power up normally
Press Scroll Down and Select to access menus
[REVERSING SW]
Set channel 5 (Gear) to REV.
[TRAVEL ADJUST]
Ensure GEAR set to +100 and -100 (default unless you’ve previously changed it)
[PROG.MIX1]
GEAR->GEAR
RATE: -25% (Set to amount subtracted from 100 to yield desired gain. Example: -25=75%)
+20% (Always, needed to enable Switchglow with switch down in FM Normal)
SW:F-NR
OFFSET: 0
[PROG.MIX2]
GEAR->GEAR
RATE: -20% (Set to amount subtracted from 100 to yield desired gain. Example: -20=80%)
-100% (Always, needed to disable RPM limit with switch down in FM 1 or 2)
SW:F-S12
OFFSET: 0
[PROG.MIX3]
GEAR->GEAR
RATE: +5 (Mix2 stays active; so this is how much RPM to add to Mix2 position; 80+5=85%)
0% (Always, Mix2 still active in FM 2)
SW:F-S2
OFFSET: 0
The notes above mention specific % gains for the RPM limiter... of course, you really set these with a tach, not a fixed percent.

Receiver
Plug SwitchGlo into Channel 5 (GEAR). Note that SGs come in two flavors, a "5V" and "8V"; you specify when you order. On an 7100R, there are two GEAR slots... plug the SG into the appropriate one, by voltage.

Note: if you do a search you can find additional info - This is the setup That I found in one of my search.
