New Novarossi REX engine, can run with all brand / kind of Heli glow plug, same of all other engines, Novarossi otherwise recommend our glow plug because designed especially for his engine.
You can use Novarossi HR3 (hot) HR4 (medium hot) or as well OS8, Enya3, YS2, TT3... and so on.

Have a nice day.

I contacted Novarossi. They put me in contact with 2 North American distributors. Neither of which will have any of these engines available for retail sales until next month.

I'm on the pre-order list for the first shipment.

I can please 1 person a day.
It's NOT your day.
Tomorrow's not lookin good, either

Got me all excited. Lost my YS50 to a broken crank and was hoping to try one of these. You have two guys now posting how great these motors are but they just seem to just be cheerleaders.

Interesting. Can you tell us what is the nitro % range recommended for those engines? if one wants to run high nitro (20%-30%) does it need to be modded (ie. shimmed). What if one wants to run low nitro (0,5,10%)?

Thx

TOny

Hi
New Novarossi engines generation can work with Nitro % from 10 to 30% just setting the compressor rings under the head. Extra compressor rings and detailed instruction for setting are include into engine box.

In this day I work to translate manual from Italian to English and we will put it on line by Tuesday next.

I suggest you all interested to Novarossi Heli engine to visit and, why not, log into our dedicated forum. There you can find and request any kind of Heli engine info. http://www.novarossi.it/forum/index.php

I have no current need for a new engine. My YS is over 300 flights old and the only thing I change from time are the plugs. I have parts to rebuild it when the day comes and a brand new YS50 in the box should this one die however, like anything in this hobby, I'm interested in seeing this engine not only perform but also on how it tunes and how long it will live up.

I'm going to check the specs and info. Thank you both for the links

Tony

Lets hope it doesn't turn out to be another "TT Red" something bogus.

from past experience with a nova rossi that I owned .61 heli, it was the most beautiful machined engine I had ever seen. Also the smoothest one I have ever run. The crank was super balanced. Had to sell it with the bird. Would definetly give this one a try when I need another for my T600...or even the 91 if I keep my extreme

Luca,

I just heard this engine is like 2 to 3 months away from becoming available.

Mean time I have to move on. I need a new motor. Thanks anyway for the heads up.
