Is that the same field where we used to have the Dayton contest at back in the 90's?

Yes Kevin,
The original home of the Dayton Rotary-Wing-Masters:
(Mark Wilson, Wendell Adkins, Don and Danny Chapman, Jerry Skinner, and a few other great folks)

Same place that hosted the USA Team Selection and many of the Midwest Heli Championship contests, among a few that you attended,

Wendell and Jerry still around, but I am the only one left flying regulary at the field.

On IRCHA in Dayton, it was #2. The first Jamboree actually was in Washington, PA, just outside of Pittsburgh, but the ball really got rolling in Dayton. Then all those years in Columbus.
Anyone heard from or of the Robb's at all lately?

The show still on

BTW,
If you happen to hear that I cancelled the Fun Fly to partake in a diferent event, it is not true.

The Fun Fly will be two days as originally planned, but may now be Friday and Saturday.

We have a number of fun things to try, a new grill, music, the night fly, and the lake. I still wonder how to get a flotation on one of the raptors.

Hope to see ya all soon.

Looks like a great time. I will see if we can get a group together to head down there.

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

I need to conduct a poll regarding having the Fun Fly 1 day versus 2.

The landing fee will be reduced to 15$, will include at least 2 meals (lunch and dinner) and drinks.

We will still have the Night Fly if enough people show up to fly with lights, otherwise we will end all flying at dusk.

If I do only Saturday, we will unofficially start on Friday afternoon for those who want to come in early. Folks with campers will be allowed to stay overnight on the park grounds.

***How many favor the FUN FLY be Saturday and Sunday, versus just Saturday?***

Hope to be able to make it and see you all there...

I am counting on Justin to run the night fly. I am leaning heavily on the Friday-Saturday thing. that way, folks who travel far can hang out til Sunday morning and leave.

We could fly Friday night too.

Any more who favor the FUN FLY be Friday pm + Saturday versus Saturday and Sunday?

I am working those details out. Normally we can take airplanes to the lake and fly off it. I hope to get a bit more favor from parks to have priority as lonas as the "boat people" don't have an event planned at the same time which I doubt.

That's exactly what I want to do, starting around Friday 1-2pm. Now all the meals will be on Saturday. I will have drinks out Friday and Saturday.

Again

Make sure you note of the dates, the event starts Friday afternoon August 28 and Saturday all day.

Folks are welcome to night fly both nights.

Also, whenever the middle stations are not busy, pilots can use the entire north side to fly FAI style. If it gets busy, we may designate times to allow guys to fwd fly depending on demand.

I'm there dude (Saturday)!

Hey J.C....maybe this time you can sample the infamous Jambalaya...if you stay through dinner!

Kevin, should have your night blades ready...let's light-up the sky!

Santiago...can I get some grill time to re-heat the Jambalaya???
Gonna prep at home Friday so I don't have to haul the kitchen and bring over in two large foil bake pans.

lotta ins, lotta outs
