In a response to trying to gather information on How-to perform 3D manuevers, I'm looking for anyone who can contribute videos, tutorial information, or anything related to illustrating and/or explaining the following list of manuevers from 3DX in addition to what is already listed.

The heli manoeuvre names are getting so vague now we really need videos to see what they're on about.

NOT to start the chaos-piroflip argument but I thought over the pond a sustained piroflip was called a chaos, now there's a sustained chaos! I think a chaos is a piroflip revolving around the yaw axis.

And things like backwards loops and knife-edge piros - Surely those should be judged stylistically - they're beyond easy to do.

Everything mentioned in that list that could be a normal manoeuvre is either done backwards or inverted so again, we fly helis we all know they can go backwards and sideways!

darkfa8 I'm not bashing your list at all; I'm bashing naming conventions and the entire nomenclature of those "3D” moves.

Cam, I understand what you're saying. I thought for the sake of some standardization I'd just use the list of manuevers from the 3DX, the highest level 3D competition in the world. If they don't know what it is you're doing, then either you just invented something new, you're fumbling the heli around, or both or crashing

Videos of these specific manuevers would be extremely helpfull to those of us who don't compete at that kind of level but would like to learn what these should moreorless look like.

One day I'll have had enough practice, the weather will be good on a day I don't have to go to work, I'll have a working camera there with charged batteries and someone who isn't too bad at filming...

So that list was taken directly from the 3DX website? (I thought the 3D Masters was the main 3D heli comp) (And Damn! The first year I could have gone to it and maybe taken part they're having it in Spain!)

Folks,

Helicopterosrc.com is my own server that I pay on my own and I'm charged based on disk space and TRAFFIC. Of course the videos are free of charge but please download them to your harddisk before playing them and be patient if you get a "maximum bandwidth exceeded" message. If this happens, you have to wait until March 1st ,sorry about that

I'm glad they are usefull for anybody, we made them for the pilots registered to the first 3DX Spain held in 2007.
