Hi Boffy - love your work and a real inspiration to anyone wanting to get into scale building...like me!!

I want to scratch build and have no problem in making the male pattern. The PETG route looks to be easier than laying up fibre-glass. But I have a question....once you have the female moulds how are you forming the PETG - do you use a vacuum or just some form of thermo setting in an oven? Whatever you are doing it's good because you manage to pick out all the door details etc in your patterns.

Hope you can help

Thanks

I built my own vacuum forming machine. That was another project entirely and took a bit of trial and error till I perfected the technique. There are several posts on the internet of how to build one.

Best of luck and thanks for your kind words.
