I just got to ask:

Mr. Sensui did not make the Japan team this year. In what capacity is he fulfilling here. Is he just helping out all Kyosho team pilots and is Mr. Dobashi doing the same?

Oh, and good luck Mark.

eSmith,

I don't know of any official site with past results on.

However, I'd covered some of the UK entrants previously whilst I was editor and pro for the AHA, and along with that compiled in one place all previous results. I started flying in 1985, which coincided with the 1st worlds and Mr Taya's victory, which is in my first ever heli mag, I still picture Mr Taya carrying his two augusta 109 like they were big game fish, not to mention the cool box the Japanese team had full of goodies. On an even less related subject, I think Walt Schoonard was quoted in the same mag as saying, 'if you can get bored of helicopters, you can get bored of sex', the mag also had a plug for the heli pilot book 'chickenhawk', a great read - together that little lot really inspired my start with heli's. The mag was editied, produced, artwork done and in fact most of it by a Cameron Tough I think - anyone know where he now resides and what he's up to - he sure produced a great mag.

Back to the plot and previous f3c worlds - I used to house this lot at http://www.btinternet.com/~aspenadvertising - the old stuff is still there but it hasn't been updated for a while.

but it's new home is on http://www.rc-heli.com, under the f3c, then the history link. This site as a whole gets more attention from me.

Regards,
Kev

Synodontis

It doesn't matter whether Sensui has made it to this WC. He has been a World Champion and if I were in the same position as Mark to get that kind of help I would be there in a flash. The knowledge these guys could give someone is really priceless.

Eagle,

That was just an open ended question to those who would know. I know that Sensui was twice world champion and also he was once with JR before moving to Kyosho and flying with Futaba. What I was asking was whether he would have still helped out if he was in the team? Resources are limited when you are competing and I just don't know how the land lays with the competitors. Mark Tilbury being a Kyosho pilot also I would assume that he was offered to practice with Sensui. I suppose it would be very odd indeed to see a Xcell pilot practicing with Mr Kunii.

Using your motorcycle

Wayne, Richard and I are enjoying your motorcycle and if you want to stay in J Pan its OK. Good luck to all. Sure would be nice to have a friend that was a world champ. Hope all that practice helped, I knew all the time you could learn to fly that thing! Try not to breath while you are there, I hear that they get bad colds over in that part of the world. Talk to you soon, Jerry

actually, the belts are not kept. They are placed in a neutral corner until presented to the winner of the title defense.

If you ever get a chance to meet Curtis you'll see that he isn't one for bragging.
