The two parts control the down/up lock gear (2 black plastic blocks) one located in the front gear and one located in the right side Aft.showing in your
pictures. Did you have to mod. them to fit your aluminum tube?
Where can I buy that part? do you have the part number?

Thanks,

hey chaper,
the black units are the actual retract units that century has available for these fuses. there is an aluminum stud that is normally in them and they are replaced by the aluminum tube of the same diameter. that is basically the only mod done and you can get the tubing from a local hobby shop or you can do likei did and use steel brakeline tubing. there is one of the smaller sizes that is close enough to the size required. you may have to ream the part it goes thru just a bit so you can insert it in place.

Hey Grant,

That is great news for the retract up/down lock.
I actually ordered these retract from Century along with the Bell 222 kits so I can use them now. I have reviewed
your y-connector again and look there is smart logic need it to integrated into the y-connector assembly.
The tension spring/micro switch did the logic for the door close/open right?

Thanks

Hi Chapter... The GoSlow is a module that you can set the speed of the servos up and down speed. It's not part of the "Y" connector.. and Yes.. the tension spring is to return the servo to doors close position.

That's cool.
Still try to understand the gear system work...
And the micro switch there is to cut off power from the door servo when the gear is completely down/lock..that way there is no power to the door servo and it's free to move which get pull from the tension spring keep the close and servo arm of this door servo return to it original neutral position.

When the gear going up, I assume the rod of the main nose gear mechanically re-activate the micro switch by connect ground to the door servo so it have power to run again. Since door servo operate at faster rate than the main nose gear servo, therefore the door servo will open the door before the main gear is up/lock. When it's up/lock, the micro switch again remove power from the door servo so the tension spring can operate the door to close.

This is what I'm thinking how this gear system is done. Is that correct?
Thanks so much for your time on reply my many questions.
Greatly appreciated!

In my application, there are two switches.. the switch at the main gear servo is for power to the nose gear door servo... the switch on the nose gear rod is for the landing light..

Hi Grant,

I'm in the process cutting a clearance hole for the glow plug removal. I'm not sure if cut a hole in the bottom of the fuse where close to the engine head is a ideal for access hole.
How did you cut your?
Any suggestions?

Thanks!

i cut the hole in mine so i can see the head of the engine all the way down to the backplate. i also have the hole extend about an nch and a half so i can get my plug wrench in to remove and replace the plug. the cutout in my airwolf shown is for the sceadu evo i use in it. the other is the plug wrench i use with the shorter fitting.

a better view

here is an underside view of the hole on my 50 size jetranger. the century plug wrench is easily used to remove/install the plug and there is plenty of room to get it in and out.

Hi CD,

thanks for the infos.
You must have a cover plate Design to cover this access window once the changing the plug is done.

you are quite welcome.
actually no,the hole needs to remain open so the cooling air can escape. if the hole is covered, the engine will overheat. an option is to make a cover that is made from mesh that is painted the same color as the fuse. this makes it blend in. i dont like to have to remove a cover to get to the plug so i just left it open.
