Never use them to ship your goods if you want it to arrive at your house, unless there is a tracking # and insurance.(use UPS every item shipped has a tracking #) I have had items not make it to my house or arrive with heavy damage, I'm done with them. Think about this if there is a box shipped with no insurance or tracking # the USPS people know it cant be tracked its a honor system from that moment on so who's to say anything when it vanishes its like it was never shipped so your FU@Ked. They are thiefs I know this because I have a few friends who work there and they tell me what they see. They use UPS for there own items when shipped because they know the deal and its a nightmare to make a claim. I'm done with them Sorry if you work there, AND YOUR ONE OF THE GOOD ONES BUT I HAVE HAD IT. IN GENERAL THEY SUCK.

USPS has always been great, occasionally slow but no issues in 5 years.

Most of the US based heli shops use USPS consistently without any issues, maybe you just got them on a bad day.

USPS

Then they have bad days often in NY, 2 X now in 4 yrs that 2 small boxes have not made it, and I had to make 2 other claims on damage boxes, then I had to prove what it was worth in the box and get three quotes then they treated me like I was doing something wrong, there a bunch of jerk offs. A few years back I had a older Robbe Long Ranger Fuselage came sticking out the side of the box left on my lawn 10ft from my door totally damaged, and it said signature required I never signed for it. I live in a nice neighbor hood and I tip the post lady every year, and I tip well. She's not the one that delivers the larger boxes. And she doesn't speak highly of USPS, when I tell her what has happened she says I'm not supervised at all.

A - HOLE

I must say I'm an @ss hole. I used the USPS to ship a box back to Rcmarket over a month ago, and guess what happened, I'll give you one guess, that's a correct answer we have a winner, he never received it. The quote from UPS was $70 to ship it and $12 from the post office, now we are talking about a little header pipe, so I said to my self can I have this much bad luck with them. So I shipped it USPS. Well guess what they really are the worst. I wouldn't use them ever again that's it I'm done. I know I said this before, I should have taken my own advise and not use them, A HOLE.

FedEx

Last week FedEx dropped off a box the top was opened and left on my stoop with the packaging paper sticking out the top fully opened. It was wrapped in the brown tape with the fiber lines running cris X cross, so I knew it was opened by someone. I came home it was not there and then I left 20 Mins later & it was there. It was a small box I would say 6 X 6 X 6 it had 3 stove parts in it a switch & 2 knobs for my cook top. I guess it was useless to who ever and they put it back in the box. I guess with this economy its going to get worse. I just cant believe my luck. I'm posting a sign on my door do not leave a package unless someone is here to accept it.

Use UPS. I work for them and I can tell you that every step of the way is tracked and they won't leave it in plain site at your front door. We try to leave it in a place that is not visible from the street or from people passing by on foot. If there is no place to leave it at your house we will try a neighbor. If they aren't home we leave a note for delivery the next day. We try 3 deliveries before you have to pick it up from the UPS office or you can have your item redirected to your work.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

I am sorry you have had bad experiences. The thing I see when I am at work is mostly the fault of who packs the boxes. You see some strange things come through, like the 45lbs of state quarters that broke open on the machine. They put them in a box that looks like a tissue box and put tape around it, thinking it was secure. In todays world automation is the only way to sort billions of pieces of mail daily. When the box went onto the machine the quarters spilled out. we spent hours picking the blasted things out of the conveyor. ALL of them were returned to the customer, in a better box.
The people I work with, I trust. The vast majority of postal workers actually care about your mail. Its our only business and we do the best we can. You of course have a right to be angry when your package doesnt arrive or is damaged and I would take that up with your local postmaster. Speaking for myself and my coworkers we would never even consider stealing your package. To us, its YOUR box, and our integrity at stake. If I can do anything for you please PM me with the details and I will take it to the postal inspectors personally.

none without fail

I sent some family pictures UPS a couple of years ago. I felt the $100 was sufficient insurance because I thought the worst they could do was crumple a corner of the box and that wouldn't hurt the photos the way I had them packed...well...they completely lost the package!!! How could they do that?!! The first time that's ever happened to me with UPS, USPS or FedEx, and they choose to do it for some irreplaceable photos. A heli part can be reordered, but a photo from 30 years ago? To top it all off I had to practically threaten them to get them to send out a trace on the package. I was not happy with UPS to put it mildly. ...you take your chances with anyone.

I have had no issue with usps. My packages are for personal and not business purposes but it have been shipped or received to their destinations. At times it is quicker than what is advertised.

USPS

Well I received a few things from over seas via USPS & they made it to my house. I had no choice thats how it was sent. I sent back a exhaust header pipe to RC market over 3 months ago Via USPS and it never made it. As per me using them to ship out anything except a letter I'm done.

Dan,

What alternative do you have to ship for a reasonable price?
Ups? Dhl? Fedex?

USPS AGAIN

Ok I have a new one about USPS. I received my mail the other day and as I was going thru it I noticed a Citi bank envelope opened on one side. The envelope had the strip tabs that you rip off on each end and bottom, well one was gone on one side, someone opened the one side to see what was in it. It was credit card bank checks that say zero % for a year. I'm very surprised they arrived.

The way the automated mail stream works, Your letter was bulk mailed, and more than likely was not touched by a person until your carrier got it in his/her hand to deliver to you. But, it is very common for these strips to get ripped off by the equipment. After a nights run, it is not uncommon to lift a cover and see the inside of the machine littered with them. These machines sort on the average
35-40K letters per hour.

No issues with USPS except thier pricing for oversized stuff.

100 bucks to send an N9 GROUND from Texas to NC.

it arrived fine but was slow as molasses and super expensive. for small items from vendors I love USPS arrives on Saturdays so I can fly on Sundays and FAST.
