| WRXRonald Key Veteran | well said One thing that helps is to trouble shoot only one component at a time, test it, eliminate it as the cause and move on to the next component. It's time consuming, but thorough. Good Day: crashed thx to dumb thumbs. Bad Day: crashed mechanical malfunction. Every Day: CRASH :) | ||

| danieldouville Senior Heliman | xcellent points i absolutely agree with the last comments, one must follow a very specific process of elimination in order to obtain the best results, scientific methodology comes into play here and my patience must take a lesson from this thread. of all the hard work i put in on eliminating a single problem, i only made more clouds of mystery appear in my head.i can spray static guard on components?? is silicone spray static guard?i wondered about the overheat issue with my first couple of twitch + glitches, however when i moved over to the scorpion esc and motor i effectively eliminated any heat issue.i still think it was the belt fray though as yesterday i flew 4 batteries again mild 3d and no glitch at all. after about 10 non-glitch flights my confidence is high, i attribute this to good trouble shooting and covering all my bases, minus the lack of knowledge on where the problem ACTUALLY arose from. this is the smack in the face, we need to figure this out first so we can ELIMINATE the problem on all other helis for everyone.well said, this level of patience is on the ZEN level and rc heli flying commands this practice to the meditative level. well i guess im still walking the long stairway up to the master,,, (Kill Bill) Omnidirection shocks and pursuades my soul to ignite | ||

| strat1960s Senior Heliman | While I was bending wrenches I had what I called the "Ted Schubert Ten Times Test". If I performed maintenance on an electrical or hydraulic system I would operate it ten times after cleaning everything up. If the problem did not re-occur after opperating the system or componenet, I fixed it. Sounds like your heli passes the Ted Schubert Ten Times Test! I wish the manufactures could include a basic stock set-up electrical diagram. That would at least give us a reference point to go back to, to begin tracking these gremlins down.TedI always have fun. Some times are more fun than others. | ||

| danieldouville Senior Heliman | issue resolved, books closed i feel confident enough to say that the heli glitch is resolved, i flew today 5 batteries at 2750 rpm flat throttle curve 3d flight for the first time since the initial glitch. flew steady as a rock.patience, persistence, silicone spray, static guard, moving components, replacing moving parts, resetting old mechanical links, praying to heli gods, worrying and sleeping on it all donated themselves to my success, thanks for the assistance and feedback!
