My Posts This: Topic  Forum		Still in the planning stage and I'm wondering....

Since I'll be doing the "two" part Avro canopy I was wondering if you all could share some information with me.

I've seen some really really nice!! custom paint jobs for the Avro you're all showing in the "hall of fame" posts. Who do you use to paint the canopies? If you don't mind me asking, approximately how much did you pay (Order-of-magnitude), and what was the turn around time. If you have contact info for the painter, I would appreciate it.

Lets hear you stories...good, bad, never again???

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I used Dave Fisher to do both the canopy and tail piece. Neal and Amanda supplied both direct to Dave and the finish is superb.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		It depends on what you want. Each painter seems to have their own style, prices, and time frames. Here are a few to consider in no particular order.

Of the painters I listed below, I have used Arizona Heli, Insane Canopy, and Canopy FX and all three did a very good job. The quickest turn around time from anybody has been Bill at Arizona Heli which took about two weeks. I think the average cost of a descent paint job is around $225 or so by the time you add shipping.

I contacted Bill at Arizona and I've received a quote on a variation of a scheme that he has already done. Once I get the canopy from the UK, I'll send it off for paint.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I have used AngGrafx for a few canopies in the past. Angelo is currently finishing an Avro and Synergy canopy for me now. He does excellent work and his prices are unbelievable. He use to be a RR advertiser but no longer advertises, although he is still painting.
