I'm looking into purchasing an Avro in the near future and would like to know where you all get the extras.

You can order directly from Blitz. The shipping charges arent that expensive and delivery is usually six business day.
Buzz is the U.S. distributor. Gyro Hobbies recently came on board as another authorized distributor for Blitz.

But I'm not sure you understood my question. I know where my options are to purchase an Avro both US & UK, however I'm looking to find out where guys are getting the "Rear" canopy section. I didn't see this as a listed part on Avro's site (then again I didn't see the main canopy either!) that's why I'm asking.

Try e-mailing either Neal or Amanda at Blitz, I'm certain they will provide the information you require. I do remember seeing the rear canopy extension and after reviewing the current website I am unable to find it myself. Neal has mentioned in the past that the website is under current renovation, its possible that it has not been updated. The service I have received from Blitz has been outstanding.

I'll try that. I appreciate your getting back to me. I've been doing some early research into buying an Avro. Looks like an extremely well made machine. Being an engineer I can relate to the "fine tooling" the Avro appears to offer.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		The tail section is special order direct from Blitz, it comes with modified rear canopy mounts etc. It is not on the web site though, just email or ring Neal or Amanda.


Building is a doddle if you have had a heli before, no fiddling or fettling parts to fit on mine. You do need to trim the fan shroud to fit your motor and exhaust selection then select the spacers to get the fit spot on but all is well explained in the manual..

I just made an order with Blitz and here is the part numbers and prices.

The main canopy number is AV-40-202 and sells for 54.89 GBP,
and the rear canopy number is AV-40-205 and sells for 48.50 GBP.

As stated, the rear section is special order and takes a few extra days to be made.

I will be ordering a Blitz Avro kit in about a month, and I have a canopy painter already lined up that's why I'm getting the extra canopy, rear section, and tail fins in advance.

Just email them. That's what I did, special thanks to Amanda.. she handled the whole order for me. In my case, they had PayPal, and I was able to pay the invoice as soon as it came in. Nothing easier then that...
