probably the easiest special effect in the book. it requires absolutely no skill and experience.

have the windshield masked off from the rest of the body. grab your airbrush with silver loaded in it (the base color of the windshield needs to be black first), and spray the crap out of it. make a big mess of the silver so the windshield is soaked and dripping with silver paint.

then take a piece of plastic wrap or a garbage bag, slap it on, push it around a bit, and pull it off.

let it dry, then spray it with a candy to give it the color.

Very cool I will try it so the silver is transparent to allow the base to show through

one looks gold so silver over black and gold base
and the other looks red so silver over red base?

and the blue one over black?

all 3 started as a black background, the steps to all of them are the same.

the gold is actually a light coat of candy orange, the others are 2-3 coats of blue and red candy.

FYI, Candy paints are basically clear/transparent colors, verses the normal opaque. they show what is underneath, only changing its color. the more coats you do, the deeper and richer the color becomes, ultimately, you can get it black.
