I would be happy to help anyone near Albuquerque NM. I actually live in a small town an hour south and I am not a long time pilot, but I would be happy to help anyone that needs it.

This is great guys, having a mentor for me helped immensly, i would have crashed so many times with just little setup issues or things that could be better set.

I learned a ton from my mentor!

Im always up here if someone wants to give it a shot, im no pro, but could make sure the machine is flight worthy and properly setup before the first flights. Familiure with nitros, but im starting to learn electrics now..

Yes but weren't there issues with the version 1.2 AR6100?

I never had a problem with the AR6100 nor do I know anyone who has!
When you read a post about a problem all who have had or think they had a problem post but very few who have none will post.

There were and are thousands of AR6100s out there working fine
as a mater of fact I still have at least 6 AR6000 in aircraft and a couple of t-rex 450s again they work fine why change or fix what ain't broke

I did however take advantage of Horizons offer to update all DSM2 receivers for free from v1.2 to v1.6

the only advantage is the quick reconnect time IF AND I STRESS IF you have a power (low voltage ) problem. If your power system is working properly you wont have a problem with ether ver and if you have a power problem with ver1.6 the rec just reconnects to the trans faster but you still have a power problem

I do believe you can still send that v1.2 ar6100 in for a free update to v1.6
