BAT 4/C

The motor is now built with fan, hub & clutch shoe assemblied. WE did have to do some parts modification to get it right. We dialed the crank run out too .0001, that was amazing, can't ask for better.
We have to make a complete new frame design, not what I was hoping for. It will have a complete new servo layout, due to the size of the engine this will be a propriety frame set for this engine application. 100% of all the mechanical parts will be reusable in any other QWW design like the gasser, EP or nitro BATS. We will offer gift certificate with a 35% discount if a B AT 4/c whats to change it out in the future.

We need to make new drawing before we can cut the frames…. These kits will be available 100% with all the parts modified.

ENJOY THE LONG WEEKEND FLYING...IRWIN

NOT A SO SIMPLE

THIS PROJECT will have completely new mechanical technology that will be patented. WE have to design new frames as well as produce several
CNC prototype parts from drawing.

If we are good enough to get it all 98% correct at first try will be a pat on our back. If we achieve the desire perfomance we expect within the heat & RPM parameters limited production will follow in 30 days.

If it was so easy it would have been done long time go. After 22 years this business I will keep the design under wraps until we get our patents filed.
This motor CAN NOT just be installed, like the Z-26 in other models.
I will not do on line build sO the KOPTERCAT can see what we are doing until patent papers are on file in the US PATENT OFFICE.

When production kits are in the box any BAT 4/C owner with our total support & can place a build review on line. I will post written test results as we progress. This project is not sticking a motor in & go fly. DON'T I WISH...

GOING FLYING NOW.

It looks like it will weigh a lot less than the one with the Zenoah. I think the hardest part will be to cool it. I can't weight to see the finished product. I hope it goes well for you.

With the lower RPM's of the gas 4-stroke have you thought about an electric fan for cooling. I am putting off buying a new gasser in the hope that your new 4-stroke will become available.

PATIENTS PLEASE....

WE are working on the frame design now. There is no question we will have design structure to facilitate one or two fan units as optional installation.

Please understand when our final version is completed it will be much more than you wildest imagination can dream of....be patient.
Prototyping takes time even without design mistakes. OUR EARS ARE OPEN TO YOU THOUGHTS & IDEAS. Be passion & constructive in your posting, & most of all the feasiblity.

This will take time to engineer because it is not a straight plug & play helicopter. We hope this machine & mechanical technology will open the way to improve our passion for RC helicopter hobbies.

MAKING PROGRESS

The final special parts we needed will be here early next week. WE can then begin the frame layout & get a prototype cut & assemblied.
This will not be a convenional mechanical design.

Enjoy the weekend...Irwin

This is very unlike QWW not to send parts for 2 months. In fact I have never heard of them putting off shipping anything to a customer in a timely manner. I would send them an email and see what is going on.

I would like to know the advantages of a 4 stroke over a 2 stroke gasser. On the Sato engines you still need to mix oils with the gas for lubrication ? $ stroker only gets a power pulse every two revs while a 2 cycle gets a power stroke every rev, so that would seem to me almost twice the power with a 2 stroke for the same displacement. Also it seems to me 4 stroke has a lot more to go wrong, pushrods, moving valves, cam, rockers and adjustments, springs, ...
I'm not knocking it, just wondering.
By the way, I see weed eaters at Home Depot now that are true 4 cycle, you don't add oil to the gas.
Thanks for any info.
