My Posts This: Topic Forum | You'll be fine. I've been working with RED cams for a few years now since the first prototypes were seeded into the market. The RED has gone through many revisions in that time: a nearly constant stream of firmware build revisions in the early months and continued software and even hardware revisions to the present day. At one time it was a very buggy, unpredictable system, but it was tolerated due to the tremendous image it could capture in such a small form factor and at such low cost. It has improved a lot and is almost a stable system now. It remains a work in progress though. I must say I have yet to see any other image that comes as close to film as the RED. Its size and quality do lend it to being an ideal heli cam.
Birdeye, please post pics of your RED setup when you get it installed. Would love to see it. |
I've been away for a while but if there's a firmware issue, then how are people currently using the Red? I'm looking at getting one eventually.
