We are in the process of building Web info on the SRC #23. Until that is complete, you may visit our club website. It does not contain very much specific info at this time on the SRC, as it is a newly designed site and is in the process of construction, with some of our club activities and funflies throughout the year.

However, on the club website you will find the fields coordinates, and also a description of how to reach the flying field when approaching from different directions to Mt.Pleasant, Texas.
Hope this will help until we have it all complete. We have about 6 months until the FF.

Please feel free to PM me with any questions you may have also.
Announcements will be coming as usual as we progress for this years FF.

Yeah! I am really looking forward to it. I am going to the one in Guthrie and the 2 in Tyler, Mt pleasant, and Sulphur. I am going to try to make as many as I can in the vicinity. It would be great to meet up with everyone I meet at Ron's Fun Fly and meet new pilots. The more exposure I get the more I learn! I LOVE THIS HOBBY!!!

I am glad you like the hobby it can be additive for sure. By the way everyone, we now have 2 of the 3 new hotels open in Mt. Pleasant. The La Quinta just open up and the IHOP is now open so all the kinks should be out by the time of the event in September. Furthermore the new IHOP restaurant location is great, since it in the middle of about 5 motels including the host motel (right next door) we have been using for many years.

I will be attending as well. I had so much fun last year. I guess I probably won't be allowed the Newbie contest this year. Can there be something for the intermediate pilot? I'm not up for any professional stuff. It has been been quite windy and ugly here in the North Dallas Area.

May I suggest one thing??? Can we get a picture with all the pilots on Saturday Noontime? I see some of the other events and see nice pilot's pictures.

Glad you will be able to make it. Hope you also check out the
Heli Unlimited event May 9th in Tyler

Now as far as the picture we did that in 07 and it turn out great. We probably didn't do it last year I guess because it's not something that everyone is excited about all the time, but since you ask we will definitely try to see what we can do this year to get a group picture

Also looking forward to more night flying this upcoming year too.
And as for as the intermediate class, why don't you try the non sponsored demo contest. With plenty of time to practice for it you can do well.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		If all goes well with my R&R, I'll be trying to make it this year, as my home town is Gilmer, right down the road and I'll be there during my R&R.

I do have a couple of questions though. Is IRCHA or RWMAA membership required to fly? If so, will there be an opportunity to register for the appropriate organization on site, or will I need to register before hand? AMA is not a problem, my membership there is current. Also, is there a "flight skills check" before solo flight? If so, what are the required skills to demonstrate before solo flight? I can do FF, side and tail in hovering, and basic sport aerobatics, but my nose in hovering and figure 8's leave a bit to be desired.

If you live in Gilmer you might also consider coming to the Heli Ulimted event in Tyler Texas on May 9th, it will also be a nice event too.
