Purple is my favourite colour Mike! Mind you, where I live in this Indiana cornfield all the crickets are brown!

Thanks for the compliment, but all the honours should go to dad and Robert.

Talking of crickets you might like to listen to a crazy impromptu soliloquy I did one night inspired by the sounds of the local population:

Hope to see you and the others next year!

I remember John and Robert from back in the late 70s

And along & through the years following!

I want to share this story about Robert and Johns effects to help a kid who was giving full effort to fly an almost unflyable CRICKET and help they DID!

Robert was in Atlanta with an old aquaintence of mine, Jim Hines! He was appreciative of my efforts trying to fly and took interest in my little cricket and actually made it fly WELL, WHICH wasn't an easy task considering the poor electronics I had on it ETC and to my great surprise a couple weeks later sent me a group of new servos, engine/pipe(heatsink), blades(Blades he balanced),A GYRO(first gyro I had ever seen WOW) and a few other parts I had damaged. I was so so grateful. Everything he sent was a gift. He and John both signed the invoice as a gift to me, I have it on the wall in my home in eastern KY where it has hung for 25+ years, hanging just above the Cricket as it was after the repairs and upgrades, along side my King Cobra in a Jetranger Fuse(Both Mint and flyable today.)

Thanks for the memories, God Bless you Michael and your family....John and Robert CHANGED MY LIFE and many others!!! I have been ill myself, and even though J C Zankl I m sure told me, still had no true knowledge until this morning of your fathers passing. I wish ALL the best and send my belated condolences!!

God Bless,
Jeffery D Wright

Hi Jeffery, good to know that despite dad and John being so busy, they still had time for others.

They are both remarkable people and left their mark on this world.

I travel the whole of the Mid-West buying from antique horological auctions - IN, OH, IL, MO, KY, TN, NC, SC, AL, VA, PA, NH, MD, MI, WI, IA, WV, MA, NY etc just in the past 2 years so if you email me with your location and I'm in the area we can meet for a coffee?

worldofantiques@peoplepc.com.

I hope your health improves.

Michael
