Thanks DBlum. It didn't take long at all. Like you said once you get in the rhythm it goes OK. The only thing with the epoxy is it takes time to set. I never did anything like this either but it seems to go well so far.

I am posting some pictures of what I did recently and have a question. These are pictures of the turbine exhaust outlet I made. Does anyone have a good picture of what it should look like? I can't seem to find one.

Thanks for the information and pictures DBlum. You see it good there. I guess I could use screening in that section and get almost the same effect. Or may knurl it and paint with silver. Thanks.

Thanks coptercptn for the picture, different, and the offer. I took some more pictures today. I tried to redo the exhaust but I do not have enough material left to cut down a make it right. The picture will show what I have when trying to rework the one I have. May have to make a new one. Also some pictures of some panel lines and rivets I did.

OK some more pictures. I think I am finished with the panel lines, well as finished as I'm going to be. It may not be correct but after the rivets, paint and a little more detail stuff it will do what I need it to do. Look something like an AH-1F Cobra. Better camera this time.

Hi, back again. I have some pictures of a system I am using to hold canopy section to the fuselage. I wanted something that I was sure would stay on and not pop off in flight. It is made from a ball point pen. I took the top section, you know press it comes out press again it goes in, and modified it a bit to fit in where I need it. For me since I won't have any finished cockpit detail it is not a problem otherwise I would have to go with something else maybe. It make something easy a fast to remove that section for access which is what I wanted. I use the cockpit handle that is mounted to the shaft from the pen and just push in it's latched and press again it's unlatched.

Slider,

That's a great idea for the latch.. What ever made you think of using a ball point pen? Builders creativity!!

I also modified my muffler. I figure that it did not need to be so big since the extension acts as part of the muffler it's self.Going to have to run the engine to see how it is.

Went through a few ideas and I wanted something easy a fast to remove it. I had a pen in my hand and started think if maybe I could use that. It seems to work OK.

I figured I didn't need the muffler that big and I had to modify it so it could exhaust out the bottom of the fuselage anyway.

Tried doing some rivets today. I know it won't be correct to scale but it is more for effect than anything else. Used an epoxy of 5 to 1 mix. The color of the rivets in the pictures is due to the color of the hardener. Does make it easy to see them when doing it. The 5 to 1 gives a lot of working time and I used it as mixed in the beginning but had to add a little, not much, MH later as it started to thicken up a bit. Hard to hold the size the same without more practice but it's not to bad.
