Thanks monkey nuttz. Was not really going for scale, just a little more than a plain turret. I do not have enough documentation to do that and then I would use brass to make one up like I did for a PT boat I have with Twin Brownings and the 20mm anti aircraft on it. I just want semi scale. Other wise it may become a bench queen if I am to afraid to use it.

Posting some pictures of how the turret turned out. Have it and painted and mounted temporary for now just to see how it would look.

My attempt today at making the battery compartment louver panel. Made it using 1/64 plywood.

The Cobra 60 IS FINISHED!! Just working on what to do about the Landing Gear!! Hate to have to use the gear from the Pod and Boom ... Until I figure it out I won't have it on the market. I will update once I figure out what I want to do ...

The Gun looks Great!! Love watching this build!.

Thanks Dr.Tim. Got a bit more done since the picture of the louvers. But save that for another day, still have to take pictures. Hey, I'm using the gear from the boom and pod, just kidding. Change that later on, not a big problem to do.

Thanks SimonV6. Hope I can get up the nerve. Have to do some more practice with my regular Heli. Have been out of the Heli game for quite a few year and just got back in last season.

OK here is what I did recently. Pictures not that great back to my old camera. The dome is not glued on yet. Just wondering if you think it will look OK. I know it not up to scale but neither is the rest of it.

Going to post some pictures of what is done so far. Starting the panel line and I have decided to cut them in use a small up turned triangle file. Don't know if it is a good idea that way but it's started now. Pictures are not good quality, sorry, cheap camera. Only did the cockpit, doghouse and wings so far.

Your panel lines look great! I thought about scribing mine and even tried a couple. In the end I decided my primer wasn't thick enough to get good lines. Do you think you're through the glass on yours or do you have enough primer?

The lines end up going through to the wood. Using a small file like that cuts through. You can't use to much pressure or you just crush the wood. I put primer over it but I'm thinking of maybe some thinned epoxy in the lines. Not sure yet. This is a completely new game for me. Never been down this road. But learning things for the next one. I sure like the AH-1W.

Tried doing some rivets. I used 5 to 1 epoxy resin, no MH, with a .040 inch drill shank in a pin vice with the end rounded off, not left flat. I read that if you round the end you can touch what you are making the rivet on and they stay rounded. I tried it on a scrap piece and it seemed to work so I am trying it out. The picture is crap but it does look much better in person.

Looks good! How long did it take to do the one stub wing? I've not done rivets before, but have read that it goes pretty quick once you get the rhythm.
