I will try. Its hard you know.

I will try and get a pic sometime soon of the blade top color. The High Vis orange and white will look pretty cool with the bark blue when this thing is flying.

Hi Bwellmaker

According to my friends, they finally received 3 fuselages in Japan
in the end of january! Do you have any idea on electric power plants
for S-76?

Some B!tch,

Lots has happened over the past several months. Lost a job, got a new one, completed acceptance and delivery of new helicopter for new job. This is all good. Sent the SD mechanics back to ScaleCopter in Germany for mod, expecting them any day. Lars Zander of ScaleCopter has worked with me on these mechanics to ensure I have the latest updates for model.

Got a new dog, a Blood Hound, named him Cryano, Our other dog Is Roxanne, an Aktia, and you got it, She is beautiful, Cyro has a big nose.

Got some time to work on my ScaleJet76 over the past couple of days. I wanted to mod the nose gear that comes with the ScaleJet kit, to have a shock strut. It took some thought come up with something simple and, something that would work.

Here are some pics of the mod. It has about 10mm of stroke but will look cool extending when lifting off.

Had some time, here are a few pics. Going to make the nose shock strut about .250 longer for the correct stance. It will still fit in the nose wheel well and not interfere with any of the structure.

Thanks guys,

This has been kind of on hold while some other things were sorted out.
I have decided to go ePower on this project for several reasons. I have ordered the mechanics from Scale-Jet and hope to have them within a few weeks. That will be the last piece of the puzzle. Oh, if you know anyone looking for a spanking new Jaka and SD top mount mechs, I have some for sale.

Once the new mechanics arrive there is no reason not to have this flying by this summer. I have the flex drive, rotor system, tail rotor gear box all the big pieces. I may need main rotor blades. Not sure on that one yet. I have a set here but they may be a little short, we will see. I need servos and a gyro for the tail, oh and time.

My real job has sort of become normal, so this is a good thing. The Work policy has not changed, yes we work, 7 on 7 on, family is very important just not yours, and there ARE 24 hours in a work day, Friday only means there are 7 more working days until Friday. Its really not that bad but I do have the best job around along with this guy.

Come to think about it Copter Doctor has a pretty cool job too.

Butch

There is not one reason. Going over all the good and bad, there is no real "clear cut" winner to either in my eyes. The turbine has a cool factor of "off the hook" that's for sure. The e-Power is less complex as a package, Turbines smell really cool and the sound... well nuf said. The differences in support equipment. The field where I do most of my flying does not allow turbines, there are other fields local, and semi local area where I could.

I mulled over this for some time. There are many very good reasons to use either. I just decided for this project it would be better for me, to change gears and go e-Power.

8hp is one reason.

!!!Max power from the motor is 42 Volt and 147 Amps

= 6,2 kW or 8,05 hp

Thanks for throwing that out there Sandy,

I did not want to brag or anything, but yes, this is a contributing factor.
