Hello to all and thank you for your time.
A recent addition to my fleet is the 600N Pro.
As with all the other birds it seems to be a little tail heavy.
I have flown airplanes (models) since 1973 and have noticed that they behave much better if they are a little nose heavy.
Isn’t a helicopter supposed to be level when checking balance?

It should be, but on a nitro you should check it with a half tank of fuel.

Helis are unlike airplanes with respect to CG. You want your heli to be CG neutral.

The best way to test for neutral CG is to hold the heli by the blade grips and turn it on it's side, holding it out in front of you. Hold it so the skids are facing away from you and the rotor is toward you. The mainshaft should be parallel to the ground.

My 600N needed 1/2 ounce of lead stuck inside the nose of the canopy to get it to perfectly balance.
