I was looking at the Razor motor lineup at Neumotors and noticed the Razor Micro-Heli motor is not listed. However, the Razor 350 is rated at 4200 Kv. Would this be a suitable motor for the Hornet ll or X-3D ? I would be hovering and sport flying with 3s 1320 TP lipos.

What pinions should be used, and where would I get them ?

Thanks.

yep the little Razor 350 should fly , try 11T or 12T,
see this 11T calculator estimate.

The Hornet uses mod0.4 (64pitch) gears, like the GWS EP gearboxes with brass push fit green CA (see here or here or this 10T-20T 2.0 mm pinion bundle US ship only). The Razor is normaly 2mm shaft.

Edit: 28g Razor will be softer, more boggy and get hotter than the standard Axi2208 outrunnter.
