Well folks after talking with Erich this week, and many of the emails
on the list and here about my proposals, I think it's time to get the ball rolling.

So I would like to host a Skype conference call this Sunday
(11/9/2008) at 8pm Eastern. So if anybody is interested in joining
us, please do. This will be an open forum to discuss what has been
accomplished so far, what the next steps should be... and any other
suggestions that you may have.

I really would like to have as many people involved as possible so if
you can join us, please PM me privately and I will send you the
details for the Skype call. Please note non-skype users can also join
in, I will send you the phone number to call.

Thanks!!

I've said it before and I'll say it again...the F3C needs a full blown international single get together website. A place the whole world will go to easily post pictures and reports from their events. Folks will dicuss F3C in general in a small little forum, get setup tips and hooked up on latest trends. There has to be easy access for anyone to upload F3C related pictures and videos. You name it!

The website needs a little forum obviously but not with 300 sub topics...just the essentials like setup, events, What's new, schedules and rules. You get the idea.

I'm sure this will help, barring everyone that flies F3C the world over gets envolved and keeps posting reports and pictures from their various events so everyone can see what's happening in their country.

This will help!

I totally agree with having a centralized location for all of us to communicate, not just RR, but a dedicated web presence.
I wish I was a web designer or I would volunteer.

What's the purpose/agenda of the call and can the call accomplish that can't be accomplished here?

Nice job on the website. I think a dedicated website is the way to go.

Proposed Agenda

Things that need to be discussed.
1. Should we create a separate organization to support contest flying in the US, like IMAC?
2. Name of such organization.
3. Volunteers to serve on board of organization
4. Website, ideas, content, etc
5. Creation of road show, how to accomplish
6. Road Show: Volunteers?

And most importantly creating a steering committee to help with all of the above.

Not sure I can make the call but here is what I would say:

1. Yes.
2. I need more time to come with a name on that one.
3. I'm not in a position to do that yet.
4. Everything someone who knows nothing about the contesting needs to get started, including local pilots and flying/practice fields.
5. Good idea, but isn't that what the contests are for? How about a virtual road show?
6. I'm not in a position to do that yet.

How about limiting class I or class I/II to 50 sized machines?

I know a 50 size class has been discussed in the past but maybe limited to 50 size will be more encouraging for improving attendance.

If you dont have Skype... you can use a regular land line.. Skype is only nice because you dont have to pay any long distance fees.

If you want to join us PM me and I will send you the phone number.

1 I don't think so because in reality that is how IRCHA started many years ago and was going to break away from the AMA. I don't see a benefit to this

2 N/A because of #1

3 N/A

4 I think what I am seeing on RR is great with tips and suggestions. Also the new Yahoo group I think assists in this as well.

5 What about more along the line of divisional and national competitions that way those who don't want to or have the ability to travel long distances can still compete and perhaps earn a divisional championship
