Unfortunately the bubble got damaged the other day and needed to be replaced. The wife damaged it somehow when it was in the bedroom
. I placed my order for a new bubble, and this is what I got back from Minicopter.
I have had several PM's with him asking why the quality is so low, and I was told this is the new quality standard because the glue they did use was not good enough! The last bubble I had with my kit was perfect and the glue line was totally clear.
When a 2" hole got punched into it in the bedroom, the bubble got trashed, but the glue line was strong and did not break! I also lost my temper with her at breaking the bubble, so I threw it at her, causing even more damage to the bubble. It STILL didn't damage the original glue line!!!But if you look at this pic you can clearly see one part of the glue is perfect like the original was. So I smell BS.
Also note the canopy is also split at the top
Also remember this is NOT cheap canopy, it costs 50 Euro, (£50,$75) that's a huge amount of money for such a simple vac form canopy. The quality should be reflected in the price. but it is not.
I was offered my money back and to keep the bubble. But who wants to look at that mess when hovering nose in for most of a tank of fuel. I like to look at my Helibaby while it's flying, I like the quality. This joint is horrible and it takes away form my pleasure of owning such a unique and expensive model for me. It cost me £800 ($1200) to get flying.
To say I'm not impresses is an understatement.
