My Posts This: Topic Forum | I agree that staying with the recommendation from Spartan to use the "foam pad/steel plate/foam pad" method would be the case in most all other nitro heli's.
However, I've directed my question to find out if the "isolation" gyro mount that is marketed so well in the specifications for the Avro works as advertised.
In the specifications on the web site, it states "The Avro's unique fully-dampened gyro mount allows the gyro to be hard mounted and retained, using a velcro strap or rubber bands for total security."
So I ask, if the mount can dampen vibrations, then is it necessary to go all out and use layers upon layers of foam mounting tape and metal only to run the possibility of inducing actual movement of the gyro on top of all that stuff?
This is the Spartan method applied to my T-Rex600NSP
