Are you going to open up the bottom by the motor head for cooling?

Yes, I did. I cut it a little larger than suggested by the instructions so that I could change the glow plugs more easily. I cut it 60X40mm. You can see the opening in my last set of pictures.

I loved the gun lights, bit of work there. So how does it fly Matt? Mines smooth as in the air and looks great with the flybarless head!

I have a couple of flights on it now. It flies great! At first it wanted to drift forward slightly and I had to make constant corrections to keep it hovering. A couple of clicks of trim took care of that. The things looks huge now! It is a lot more visible in the air than the old pod and boom.

What is the best Electric mechanic for the Century 50 Airwolf

To biolt an ELECTRIC Century 50 Airwolf, I am wondering what is the best choice for the mechanic ? Is it better to convert the Century 50 Mechanic to Electric or.... to fit in the fuse a Class 50 Electric heli (like t-rex 600...).

I am looking for 20minutes flying time. Is it possible ?

What is the weight anf flying time of your 50 Airwolf ? What lipos/motors are you using ?

thanks

i have finally painted mine and got it back in the air today. mechanix are a sceadu with an os 50 non hyper and some thunder tiger carbon blades. this thing is fast!! i have forgotten how much fun an airwolf fuselage is to fly. i put a cockpit in and a full lighting system including a retractable landing light.
it sure was fun flying today in our 74 degree temps.

Hi guys,

I'm about half way done with this project . However, I have one question for you guys, were you able to use the hopper tank in there or did you just go with the main tank only?

Thanks in advance,
Doug.

Nice final product Copter Doctor. Is the retract system the same as the one on GrantL's 222?
http://runryder.com/helicopter/t484001p1/

I am planning something similar, and would love any build tips for the landing gear. I like the Eurokit legs, but am worried about how scale they are.
Cheers

Ok heres my question. Hopefully someone knows the answer. I got a Raptor 50 titan that I'm going to be installing in an airwolf shortly. When I bought my fuse my hobby shop told me the titan was to long and wouldnt fit. I bought all the V2 parts to convert back to a short boom. Am i going to have any trouble fitting a short boom in the fuse? Thanks

I'm done with the tail part and actually the Titan fits perfectly there, (better than the regular raptor tail, because you don't have to cut much)
Check post #3

actually Grant's is based on my design, he made a few personal changes to suit his taste, and i have incorporated in my newer sets. my airwolf has the newly designed nose system that makes adding a scale cockpit possible.

That sounds intriguing. If you ever get the chance, could you upload a couple of pictures? The landing gear I think is the funkey/century fuselage's weakest feature, and I here that ground resonance can be an issue on the wire spring default landing gear.
Thanks mate
