I wanted the bnf but they sold the last one ad I was walking in and don't expect another shipment for a month or so. I have flown a couple batteries out of it now. I am flying with my dx7. Pretty easy to set up and fly it's gonna be a riot in the house this winter.

I bought mine today at the LHS. I think they got in 12 and there are 6 left. All of the BNF's are gone and on backorder until late Oct. so if you want one get it now. I think it flies better than my CX2 ever did and there is that "cool factor" to it. It binded right to my DX7 no problem and works good two thumbs up....

for sure it's a cool lil Heli! One word of caution though it's strictly a indoor only Heli. I tried flying outside this evening it seemed dead calm but there was a slight breeze. It's a handful with even the lightest wins but it flies well inside !

I may be the only one asking but I know I'm not the only one wondering; how did you come up with your username for this site?

Got mine today, damn, I thought I would be the first. This is one super cool heli, I do wish however it had a bit more foreward. Thought the dual rate transmitter was pretty ingenious, I mean really $129.00 what a great heli and price. Land it on a dime, hover "look NO HANDS", even chased my 4 year old around the living room till he got tired of it and swatted it out of the sky. Of course I did buy it to teach him to fly.

Steve, if you are using a DX series or any other computer remote, just adjust the + on elevator to something like 115-125 solved my problem. So, let's get a RR count going on these things, too. I'll start with #1 (yay) And, BTW eflite was heavy on their weight. I put it on the ol scale tonight and it's only 7/8 oz. not the full oz. like they predicted !

Tip #2 if you feel like you would like a little more foreward cyclic in your flying upon closer inspection it appears that the atv endpoints are preset in the 5in1 board. I am not sure why it seemed to make a difference when I changed the endpoints in my tx but clearly it did not increase the travel. A more correct and logical choice would be to pop off the elevator ball link and turn it in 2 full turns. It seems like it helped. I will write back with another solution if this one doesn't pan out either ...

Well I've flown some micro helis befoe and I must admit when I first heard of this heli I thought it wouldn't be so fun to fly. Well I got the BNF and outta the box this Heli was amazing. Flies better and smoother than my CX2 IMHO. Hands off hovering was just amazing. I mean the pirouette rate seems so much better than the CX/CX2. It also stops better after a pirouette than my CX2. Anyways for a beginner this heli should be perfect to learn. It's so light that in a crash I think it would be hard to break much on it.

Have fun!!

Aloha,

Les

it is slow in forward flight, but if you fly through a sweeping left-hand turn, it *really* picks up speed!

great toy, more satisfying than CX2 so far.

the dual rate is great, and I'm glad my LHS was out of BNF because the RTF transmitter is really nice for wife/kid/newbies.

should be a big xmas seller.

I will make #8, I picked mine up yesterday. I agree that the forward flight speed is very slow, I popped the control rods off and added 2 turns as well and it helped considerably.
