My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I just got a parts order of Avro parts. It came from Gyro Hobbies in Laguna Hills, CA. The funny thing is, I never heard of these guys.

I placed the order with Motion Unlimited. Then it arrives from Gyro Hobbies.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to get the parts. ... I'm just confused.

Anybody know what's going on?

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		Gyro Hobbies recently started advertising here on RR but other than that I know little about them also. I do see that they offer the Avro as a kit but see nothing about parts being sold. To my knowledge Motion Unlimited was the only stocking dealer/distributor that the US had to present. Perhaps Gyro is marketing kits in conjunction with Motion for greater exposure although I have no idea. In any event its a good thing to see a broader spectrum of sources handling the Avro. Its a great machine and deserves the attention.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I'm not sure either but I can tell you this. It's one of the nicest hobby stores I have ever been in. They have EVERYTHING in stock.

When nobody had cool power 30, they had 120 cases of it. When everybody was out of YS 91's, they had a dozen of them. I could go on and on.

The owner is a younger guy that has just about every heli you can buy on display built ready to fly. They all belong to him. Nice guy and truly amazing store.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		Not sure what the deal is with Gyro selling the AVRO, but they now show it on the web site for sale for the same price as Motion Unlimited. The links at the top of the page not active. They might be buying them through Buzz, just like most all the others importers do.

I cant speak for all the posts, but my posts are not intended to question the validity of Gyro. As I mentioned, I personally have not dealt with them, I was simply answering the question.
Im not sure that the original post was questioning the validity either, I read it as a general question if Gyro was a "new" distributor.

The kits they have were not purchased through Buzz. They are not a distributor, so its unlikely that they will have many parts, if any at all.

I have used Gyro on two occasions so far and the shipping and customer service have been very good. My Posts This: Topic  Forum		Got to get up close and personal with the Blitz Avro today at the AMA Expo in Ontario, CA. Gyro Hobbies has one there. I confirmed with the owner of Gyro that they are indeed an authorized Blitz dealer. They have several kits headed their way. These are the updated kits with all the latest mods.

Gyro also has a whole wall full of parts as well.

They are only 6 miles from my house too!! I am pretty certain taht one of these is in my future!!

Gyro has a booth at the Expo with several helis on display and a bunch of good stuff for sale.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I have two complaints against Gyro Hobbies. The web site doesn't have a link to parts, you have to put a part number in the search before you can fine the parts and the second one is their web site doesn't tell you whether or not the parts are actually in stock. I ordered a one way from them because Motion Unlimited doesn't take credit cards or PayPal, you have to send a check and that takes too long to get the parts. I received an e-mail telling me the parts would have to come from Blitz because they didn't have them in stock. If I had know that when I was ordering, I would have just ordered them from Neal to start with.
