Phoenix flight sim problems

This is what I just sent to the Phonix support site, I am hoping maybe someone on here will have a suggestion that will help.

Hi,I just purchased the Phoenix Flight Simulator, along with the USB connector for JR transmitters. I have a JR XP9303 Transmitter. I have installed the simulator onto my computer and connected the USB cable to my transmitter and have been trying to calibrate the transmitter. However when I am trying to calibrate it an error message pops up that says "Your USB interface has stopped responding or you are attempting to use an unofficial USB interface with Phoenix. Phoenix will only function correctly with an official Phoenix USB interface. Phoenix will now exit." The only option it gives you is to click OK and then the entire program shuts down. I have also tried downloading the most up to date driver for my graphics card, as well as the directx 9.0 and neither of them affected how the program operates. I don't know what else to try. Thanks for your time,Alex McSorley

Sounds like you have a defective usb cable, where did you get Phoenix program from.

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.

hmm

Maybe a long shot but try and remove the USB cable from the computer, wait for Windows to sound off (indicating that hardware has been removed), then plug it back in (you'll hear a confirmation sound as well). I had the same symptoms before and this fixed it for me. Good luck.

My DX7 did that til I figured out that the TX main power switch has to be in the OFF position for the DSC output to work. Plug in both ends of usb adapter and see if your 9303 display turns on without the power switch.

Nothing is ever so bad that it can't get worse

Fixed

For all that did respond thanks for your Ideas. The problem was that it was still in ccpm mode.

My hat goes off to Phoenix's tech support. They got me up and running faster than any one could on rr or hf.I didn't even bother with rcu. There so out of helis .

Thanks agen for those of you that did respond.

Glad you got it taken care of and yes Phoenix tech is top notch bar none. Just to be clear though, the problem was the radio was set to ccpm? You sure the problem was not the radio was set to pcm instead of ppm? Its the 72mhz 9303 right?

no it was that it was in ccpm mode

pcm and ppm Has to do with how you segnel is being sent.
But ccpm is how many servos are working together. ccpm use 3, and phoenix sims need you transmitter to only use 1. The sim dose all the work instead of the transmitter.

I havent had it come up with the usb no longer working for it being in ccpm, in fact there was a demixing option for those with ccpm permanently in the radio. I have had to help others with that prob and it was the radio set to pcm.

WJackson,

You sure the problem was not the radio was set to pcm instead of ppm? Its the 72mhz 9303 right?
XP9303 is a 72MHz radio that can generate both PPM and PCM signal at the training jack, and X9303 is a 2.4GHz radio that has only PPM output at the DSC jack in the back.

Phoenix can only decode PPM signal to allow you flying the simulation.
