The copper tape came in the mail today. I installed it in the Trex 500 tail and have 10 ohms from the front pulley to the rear pulley. Not bad considering there is grease in the bearings and green loctite between the bearings and the shafts.

With the tail now finished, I turned my attention to final setup of the head. Broke out the new swash leveler and got the swash perfectly flat. Attached the rest of the head and setup the zero and mid stick and -10/+10 pitch range. Soldered a Deans on massive battery and got the velcro ready.

Only thing left to do is the first spool up just to see what flies off or wobbles. Its late here and I haven't decided if I'm going to spool it up tonight or tomorrow.

Got my stuff from A-Main Hobbies. Ordered Thursday night; arrived Monday, Ca. to Ga. Not bad.

I got a Trueblood swash leveler, Trueblood dampeners, and K&B neon yellow tail blades.

I thought my swash was level. It was leaning pretty good left and back. The leveler don't lie...

Re-setup the head from scratch and finally got everything as close to perfect as I could. I couldn't believe how far I was out setting up by eye and calipers.

Those tail blades are bright!

Probably something strange & home built that will live up to its title of a Frankenheli

My 450 canopy cracks too.

I accept it as a badge of use.

You can buy a Fender guitar called a "Relic" that looks like you've been on tour for about 20 years.

People pay about $3000 for this deceptive spectacle.

Worked on my heli tonight. I got my CNC rudder servo mounts installed on the T***. I installed them opposite of the way the plastic ones were mounted, so now the servo is on the "safer" side (left/port) of the boom.

Reversed the servo; reversed the gyro - should be good to go.

Nice Stocky! I see you decided to start off with some nice mods. Very different looking. Nice TT setup.

I did some more work on the T500 yesterday. I decided to make a few changes in the electronics. I plan on adding a BEC and changing the Deans connectors over to the EC3 connectors. I started last night and man those E3C connectors are nice. Finished two batteries and the charge lead for the 10s. The LHS only had one set so I'll get some from non-so-local HS today to finish the job along with adding the BEC.

You don't like Deans?, or are EC3's the "new" deans?
Any advantages with EC3?

Stocky some of us have known EC3 are better plugs for a long time now!

Fender 4.8 is for wusses check your gyro but your RX will work at 6V I programmed my cc10 for 5.9 .1 below just in case and could tell just by listening the servos were quicker also with more voltage you get less current.

Yes I do have a castle link programmer $22 bought it to get the raptor 30 at 6v and to use a 2200mah lipo on a nitro the RX pack lasts longer than my TX.
