LOL coops, I'm not a troll! Of course I didn't try it.

No need to get all uptight bro! Oh and I agree 100% with you on how little current is needed to paralyze and kill.

Tim, you do bring up an interesting point. It depends on the type of pool if it's grounded. For example, my inground pool is absoultely grounded. But the pool in the picture is one of those inflatable type.

Consider this....when a lake gets hit by lightening....do all the fish die? It's about resistance as well.....

It's the same with a skydiver caught in high tension lines....as long as he/she doesn't step on the ground, they are fine...

this is total bs cause if you were ever near a hv line there is a guy wire that runns the span of the wire from tower to tower then the hv line is wound around the guy wire so if a sky diver fell onto and streached the insulation on the hv wire and hit the guy the v would hit every thing attached to the guy wire and seeing the diver would be on more then one the guy would be the path of least resistance so ground can come from the tower and attaching guy lines

I was using those "worm getters". Two poles with a cord. I couldn't believe they actually sold them to people. Anyway I was shocking worms out of the ground in a cemetery and bodies started coming out of the ground. I think I heard "Thriller" in the distance.

I stand corrected!

Coops is absolutely correct! Yes, I can admit when I'm wrong.

What finally sunk in was when he explained that in a pool, you are immersed in the medium that the current is flowing through....that's the difference in my skydiving example or peoples bird example.

So Coop, I humbly apologize and thank you for the enlightenment!

Jeep: The skydiving example is NOT BS I can assure you! I was a military parachutist in the Special Forces for 10 years and am currently a skydiver. It is what is taught by the military as well as in civilian skydiving schools. I'm not sure about what you say about a guy wire, but I can assure you we've had people stuck in high tension lines....and we got them down without issue.

Coops: I thought that you'd have to get the electricity pretty deep to get the fish? That's one reason they survive if lightening hit...the majority of it stays along the surface.....
