I have a humming bird and was wondering if the Carbon Blades make much of a difference. I have read that there is less conning. I'm a helicopter gunner in special ops and in real life less conning would mean more lift and a higher head speed which should make a difference. I also have read people were trying the hornet cf blades. I was wondering if the piccollo ones would be better. Just want the blades that will be closest to the "birds" length. I figured I would ask the pro's once again as you guys have yet to steer me wrong. Also a second question. When in a decent hover. I have my tail control on the radio all the adjusted to the left so my nose will stay straight. But she still wants to slowly drift left on me. How do I fix this. Is it in the gyro set screw? I'm running a stock Hummer with the collar upgrade with by the way made a huge difference in flight capability's. I know there were a few questions in here and I thank you all in advance for the advice you would be able to give me!

Am using Hornet FP CF blades with much success. I can highly recommend them. I don't know about the piccolo CF blades.

With the Hornet blades, I suggest going up a tooth or two on the motor pinion. I also suggest a motor upgrade to a 280bb or 300 motor.

The hornet CF blades look great and the increase in headspeed seems to help make for a more stable and responsive Hummingbird. Also very tough to break from my experience.

Does you gyro have a center adjustment? I would look there first to keep the tail centered.

Regards tail centering..........while the power is disconnected from the heli, return the rudder trim to center on the Tx. This in combination with the gyro adjustment should get you closer to null position on the tail. Be aware that as the flight pack drops in voltage that you may have to fly the tail a little more with the rudder stick because the lower voltage takes some of the T/R's ability to compensate away.

HummingBird

I have had my HummingBird now for a couple of weeks and last night I had my first 7 minute hover wow it seemed like I was in the air for like 20 minutes, I too have the same problem with my tail rotor what I do is set my trim all the way to the right and then when I plug in my battery it gives me more movement to the left it seems to work ok this way as I dont have to trim it all the way over to keep the nose straight I still have to tap it over from time to time, and as the other post said as the battery runs down you have to fly the tail a little more.. just thought I would add my thoughts..
