Yea, I know it's loud. I usually run a long cord and set the generator out in front of my vehicle. Not too bad, but there will be plenty of Honda and Kipor generators around at IRCHA keeping things quiet. I would love to have one of the Honda'a but for the 2 or 3 times a year I use mine, not worth it yet. If it fails, then off to a Honda.

If you are stationed near us, you can always tap off ours. I'm sure the other Honda owners would do the same. You can even tap off one of our chargers as well.

Attendance at IRCHA

Attendance at IRCHA
I was wondering if anyone reading this had an idea of the number of people and pilots in attendance at a typical IRCHA event, specifically what to expect this year if possible.

Thanks in advance.

Here is a photo from last year

1/2 mile flightline, 1/3 mile vendor row, plenty to eat, plenty to do.

I am guessing that we break the 900 pilot mark this year. last year we hit 812 and 781 the year before, oh yeah and then there are spectator

It is going to be fun.

There are plenty of people that would rather let you tap off of their quiet generator than to listen to a loud generator all day, or even worse, all night.
Just be sure to have your own extension cord and power strip for the hookups.

Ircha is not like a fun fly. Half of the pilots there are the best you ever saw.

I talked to Dave Milner last week. He said pre registration is ahead of last year. He is expecting 900 pilots! He has lots of commitments from many of the World Teams that they are planning attending for a few days too.

Hi Bobby
I am looking forward to IRCHA too, it is going to be a good time. I think we might just break the record from last year and also zoom past what ever Joe Nall did earlier this year. I heard they were bragging about wanting to past the record Ircha set last year, but if they did do it, they had to do it with the help of a dedicated flight line for heli pilots

By the way Bobby, let's think big for the Southern Rotary Classic this year too. How about 150 or more pilots for that event.

No car, no van, no tent, no RV, no hotel, HOTELICOPTER

This is how I would like to arrive and stay at IRCHA 2009.
Poor Dr. Tim and the Vario boys would be going nuts trying to fiquer
out how to scale one and they would drive Chris Bergen nuts trying
to talk him out of 2 turbines for the project. Why, they would even need a bigger trailer to go behind the Vario Mega Bus/RV just to carry it.

Large Enclosure

Hey everyone. I should have some extra space in my enclosure if anyone is interested in setting up a table under it. It is rather large and spacious. Haven't received it yet, but I will keep you all informed. Luckily I'm heading there early, as I'm also volunteering on the flightline and as Site 3 Marshall, so hopefully I'll get a really nice spot.

For those who went last year... are folding tables supplied?, or should I bring some of my own? just wondering.

Hope everyone has a great time this year! Can't believe it's only a month away! Hope Horizon gets my Rx back to me in time.

Golf Carts for IRCHA

Golf Carts for IRCHA....

Hey folks, well once again I am getting a bunch of Golf Carts for IRCHA. The carts will be arriving on Monday August 10, and picked up at the end of the day on Sunday Aug 16th. But you can pick it up anytime during IRCHA.

Cost is $160 for the week and includes delivery.

Also if anyone needs a cart for World's I will be having a few carts dropped off during Worlds.

I have already rented a bunch and only have a 5 or 6 left so PM me if interested.

JoeC,

Do your carts have the required Turf Tires on them? How many do you have still available?

All of our Golf Carts have the required Turf tires on them and a roof. They are gas powered and easily last the week.

I have 3 more available, but that can change at any moment.
