Just checking what I am running - I am running OS X 10.4.11,

Is this sufficient to run Bootcamp

Thank you,

You have to turn your clock before dec31 2007 to do the install.

After it's install and running you can set it back.

I'm running Reflex on a Mac-mini with relatively good results
(crashed from time to time, but otherwise running OK)

Phoenix is great!

Well, I got my sim last week and tried to install it on my Imac using Parallels. In short it did not work, the good news is that I also had a 5 years Old Compaq Presario N4500SX. I bough 1Gig of RAM and a GeForce 6200 video card ( all for $100) and let me tell you.....WOW this sim is incredible.

Thanks to all for the help

Bootcamp

I upgraded to OSX Leopard which includes Bootcamp,
I am happy to report that Bootcamp works great - I am not running Real Flight G3.5 and it works perfectly. Going to order Phoenix flight simulator and I'm sure that will work great, if 3.5 is working.

I have tried Parallels and also VM Fusion and neither work well at all - if you go the Boot-camp way and set it up correctly (by the way, it is easy to setup), you can run R/C simulators very well on the Mac Pro - which is what I have,

Thanks for your input regarding using Boot - Camp,

Reviving an old thread.

I have found that since upgrading Phoenix to 2.00n, Phoenix no longer works correctly under VMware Fusion. I also just upgraded to 2.5f beta, and still get the same problem. I'm wondering if anyone else is running Phoenix under Fusion and has found the same problem. I'm using VMWare Fusion 2.0 by the way.

The behavior I get now is that Phoenix starts up just fine, and the sceneries, menus and dialogs all operate fine. However the model is not rendered at all! So I'll see the scenery, and hear the model running, and if I move the controls the scenery will move as the model moves, but there is no model visible. Also when I bring up the Choose Model dialog box, the preview picture of the model is blank, but otherwise the dialog operates correctly.

This is on my 2.33 GHz MacBook Pro. Phoenix works great under Boot Camp, so it's not a big deal. And even when Phoenix was working under VMware I usually preferred to reboot to get better performance, but it was nice to have the option of doing a little simming without rebooting.
