Align is going to donate more money this year to the winners.

The structure will be change a little this year to allow 90 size helicopters to compete.

There will be a Masters, Advance, and Intermediate classes.

The Masters and Advance classes can fly 90 size helicopters or lower.
The intermediate class has to fly a 50 size or lower.

Geesh, this is a tough one.

Having 2 of the best events in the US on the same weekend.

Is there any way to change the dates Rocky, as I know that after last year Birmingham is going to be huge and many of us pilots that compete were planning on attending both events.

The event cannot change dates. We have looked at new dates and because of other contest and events we are doing the dates will conflict with already made schedules.

We are sorry if some of you can not make it. We try are best to make sure you all can go to every event. We like everyone to be able to make it to this event to but some times schedules conflict for us all.

There is no address for the field. If you look up Sam Boyd Stadium it is on the north side of it.

Located on Russell Road in Henderson, Nev. (15 minutes East of Las Vegas)

From Las Vegas Airport to Sam Boyd Stadium, head North out of airport on Swenson Avenue approximately a half-mile. Take a right on to Tropicana Avenue (heading East) and proceed 5-6 miles directly to Sam Boyd Stadium.

From I-15 South, exit East on Tropicana Avenue, take Tropicana past Boulder Highway and Sam Boyd Stadium will be on left.

From I-95 South, exit on to Russell Road, head East and drive directly into Sam Boyd Stadium.
From The Las Vegas Strip, head East on Tropicana Avenue (appox. six miles), which leads to Sam Boyd Stadium.

red_z06, Yes it has to do with money. most of the money is at the top classes. If you win the lower class this year you have to move up a class.

That is correct. It starts on a Wednesday and ends Sunday with the fun fly.

Competition is Wednesday to the afternoon of Friday and right after the comp the fun fly starts.

I am sorry for the dates and Birmingham. We will try to see if we can do better next year on the dates. We have a problem here in Las Vegas with events going on a lot. Trying to make sure there are no conflicts is getting hard. We will work on next year’s dates.
