Ron Lund vs Ken Jennings.
Ron gave a great run with his all carbon XCell running a 91 but it felt short to the top speed of Ken's Zero G electric Raptor. Ken won in straight heats.
Just as the dust settle, two more contenders where awating for a second duel. Mike Trueblood won in straight heats, the second done in very stylish backwards inverted fashion, but it was about to get very serious.
So it was Mike Trueblood with a super fast Mikado Logo 600 (10S) vs Ken Jennings Zero G rocket Raptor.
Heat 1. Mike Trueblood came out swinging for the fences as his V-Bar Logo edged Ken's Raptor.
Heat 2. This race was perfection in racing from both pilots. Ken fights back with a perfect hole shot and run to edge the flybarless speed demon from Mike.
Heat 3. Pure drama in fast motion: Mike takes the hole shot and leads for the first 100 feet, then slightly levels out and ever so slightly bobbles, Jennings electric freight train blows by for the win and out right winner of the 2008 IRCHA Jamboree drags.
